SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

All members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police believe that working pro-actively along side the community makes for a great partnership.  It is the policy of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service that superior quality service is provided to all citizens whenever they contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

Additionally, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service strives to be accessible to all members of our Community both in the service we provide and the facilities we operate.

All members of the public will be treated in accordance with the four principles of accessible customer service, namely dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity.

Effective Monday, May 29, 2017, the duty desk of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's building will be staffed from 07:00 - 23:00 hours daily.  At all other times, the inner lobby doors of the building will be locked.  Persons attending at the Police Service's building, when the duty desk is not staffed, can utilize the telephone located inside the inner lobby doors to speak to a police dispatcher.  The public entrance of the Police Service's building will be closed between 23:00 hours to 07:00 hours.  Any member of the public who wishes to call the Police Service and speak to a duty officer during these hours will still be able to do so.
